Protests erupt in Chicago after a police officer shoots dead black teen Pierre Loury

Police Officers pulled the car over around 7:40 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Grenshaw Street in the Homan Square neighborhood, according to the Chicago Chief of Detectives Eugene Roy. Pierre Loury jumped out and ran away, and an officer followed, he said.
"A foot pursuit ensued, during the course of that pursuit, it led to an armed confrontation between the offender and the officer, resulting in the officer firing shots with his service weapon, striking the offender ,"Roy said.
Loury was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 8:27 p.m.
An autopsy showed Loury suffered from a gunshot wound to the chest.
A weapon was found on the scene and taken into evidence.
Tuesday , family and friends of Pierre Loury gathered at the two-flat building where his mother lived. The mother is very hurt, she cried loudly on her front porch.
Tuesday night, more than 100 people gathered at the scene where Loury was killed. Then came protest.
Nearly 100 people gathered on the sidewalk at the corners of the intersection, and ending up on Grenshaw Street.  The crowd shouted "justice for Pierre" gathering in the middle of the street, with posters that faces of other black people killed by police. The protesters eventually ended up on the expressway by the Kedzie Homan blue line.
I want to send my condolence out to his family and friends, I understand what they're going through. The stuff police officers do isn't much necessary, but they do it because they feel they have that power and it's not right at all. Stay strong and once again I am sorry about your lost.
